Recently, we attended Sophos’ MSP Community Day at Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham. It was a really insightful day, filled with learnings about Sophos technologies to better MSP services, as well as discussing with other MSPs mutual challenges and potential solutions, and what MSPs can do to better their marketing with a talk from Mark Copeman from Wingman.
Sophos launched the day with a warm welcome, setting the stage for a collaborative environment where MSPs could share insights and exchange ideas on advancing our joint mission to deliver exceptional security solutions. Here's a rundown of the highlights from this invaluable day:
Event Highlights
In a standout session, Sophos used a “Lego Analogy” to illustrate how MDR (Managed Detection and Response) brings together various data sources to create a powerful defence system. This hands-on demo emphasised the rising importance of MDR in an MSP's offerings.
The afternoon featured an impactful marketing masterclass with Mark Copeman from Wingman Marketing, who shared strategies to build a strong MSP marketing engine. He covered content creation, branding, and lead generation, offering practical tips to stand out in a competitive landscape.
The day wrapped up with a panel discussion, sharing best practices for MSPs and success stories, followed by a cocktail session where we could network with Sophos experts and fellow MSPs. Engaging with and listening to other MSPs during the panel and cocktail hour revealed valuable insights on client management and maximising the impact of Sophos tools. It was interesting discussing the impact of AI as well as different social media channels for marketing. These exchanges not only reinforced best practices but also opened the door to potential collaborations and new ideas that could strengthen our services.
The strategic updates from Sophos reinforced our partnership with Sophos and our alignment with their vision of delivering leading-edge cybersecurity solutions. With a clear roadmap ahead, we’re excited to deepen our partnership and continue delivering exceptional value to our clients, keeping them secure in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.
A big thank you to Sophos for an invaluable experience—we’re excited to bring these ideas back to our team and help bring even more value to our clients!
